Rental Car Insurance, Waivers, and General Information

If a customer (the renter and any registered drivers reported at the time of rental) causes damage to a third party or to our company due to an accident or other incidents, the customer will be held liable for damages. Our rental cars include insurance and compensation up to a specified limit to cover this liability. However, depending on the nature and circumstances of the accident, insurance payouts may not apply (exclusion from coverage). Additionally, even when insurance is applicable, deductibles (out-of-pocket expenses) must be paid by the customer.

1. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) System

If you enroll in the Collision Damage Waiver system, the deductibles (out-of-pocket expenses at the time of an accident) for property damage and vehicle damage will be waived according to the details of your selected plan. However, please note that if the situation falls under "Exclusions from Coverage (cases where insurance/compensation cannot be used)," you will not be covered even if you have enrolled in the CDW system.

  • ※ If any out-of-pocket expenses incur due to an accident, you must pay the required amount immediately on-site.

【Passenger Coverage】

For injuries (including death and permanent disability) sustained by passengers due to an automobile accident, damages will be compensated regardless of the driver's fault percentage. (Limit: Up to 50 million JPY per person / Damages including medical expenses will be calculated according to the standards specified in the insurance policy)

2. Deposit of Customer Charges (Guarantee)

In the unlikely event that expenses to be borne by the customer occur due to an accident or breakdown, the estimated charge must be deposited (paid) on-site immediately at the time of the incident. (Final settlement will be made at a later date after repair costs and other expenses are finalized)

3. Information on Ishigaki Island's Environment (Vehicle Cleaning)

We thoroughly clean and wash all vehicles prior to rental. However, due to the rich natural environment of Ishigaki Island, insects (such as ants or small bugs) may occasionally find their way into the vehicle. While we implement constant pest control measures, it may not be possible to completely prevent this, especially after rainfall. We kindly ask for your understanding regarding the island's natural environment.

  • ※ Depending on the situation, a replacement car may be provided (subject to vehicle availability).
